How to use Hubl —
Completing Checklists

Checklists are your daily, weekly and monthly tasks — opening up, deep cleans, closing down. Each item is one tap to confirm, with on-screen guidance whenever you need it. Here’s the whole flow.

The one thing to learn

One item, two taps

Every line on a checklist is a single button that cycles through three states. Tapping is all there is to it:

To do start

A dotted circle — the item hasn’t been checked yet.

OK tap once

A green tick — all good, nothing wrong with this one.

Issue tap twice

A white cross on a red dot — there’s a problem to flag.

Good to know Tap an item again to keep cycling if you change your mind — nothing is locked in until you log the checklist.
Working down a checklist and logging it
The daily routine Checklists

Complete a checklist

Open Checklists from the bottom bar. The counters at the top — Total, Complete, Remaining — track your progress, and the Today / Weekly / Monthly tabs group your tasks.

  1. Pick a checklist (e.g. Opening FOH) to expand its items.
  2. Work down the list, tapping each item once to mark it OK — it turns into a green tick.
  3. Found a problem? Tap that item twice to flag it as an issue (white cross on red).
  4. When every item is marked, tap Log checklist.
  5. Enter your initials on the Submit screen and tap Submit. You’ll see “Checklist completed” and it’s marked Done.
Good to know Logging late? Switch on the Logged at toggle on the Submit screen and set the time the tasks were actually done.

Descriptions & corrective action guidance

Not sure what an item is asking, or what to do if it’s failed? Every item carries its own built-in guidance.

  1. Swipe the item to the left to reveal a dark Description button on the right.
  2. Tap Description — a panel opens with two tabs:
  • Description — what the check is and what “good” looks like, e.g. “Dishwashers wash items thoroughly at a high temperature, so this is a good way to clean equipment and kill bacteria.”
  • Corrective Action Guidance — what to do if it’s not right, e.g. “If not working, do not use and repair / replace.”

Tap Close when you’re done — the panel is just for reference and doesn’t change your answer.

Good to know Descriptions and corrective action guidance are added per item in the Checklist Builder on the reporting dashboard — the same place checklists are created and edited. If you manage checklists, see the Checklist Editor guide for how to set this up.
Before you ask

Quick answers

I tapped the wrong thing — how do I undo it?

Just keep tapping the item to cycle back round to the state you want. Nothing is fixed until you log the checklist.

What happens when I flag an issue?

Marking an item as an issue records that something wasn’t right on that check, so it can be picked up and resolved — follow the item’s corrective action guidance for what to do next.

Do I have to finish a checklist in one go?

Mark what you’ve done and log it when the checklist is complete. The counters at the top show how many items are still remaining.

Can I pause the clips?

Tap or click any clip to pause it; tap again to play.

Descriptions and corrective action guidance are set by your management team to reflect your own Food Safety Management System. Always follow the procedures it sets out.
